One City, One Book is a citywide book club. The entire community is invited to read and discuss the same book; participate in book discussions, film screenings, an essay contest and other events held throughout the city.

A seven week celebration of the book kicks off at the Thousand Oaks Arts Festival September 26-27. There will be many opportunities to come together to discuss the book at community book discussions. Programs and special events inspired by the book will be scheduled. The much anticipated culmination is an afternoon with author and journalist Steve Lopez on November 14 at the Civic Arts Plaza Kavli Theatre.
